OK, Summer!

I finally have some time to sit and write for a bit.

Summer is now full in swing and it's been wonderful so far. I'm coming off a wonderful weekend filled with friends, and lots of celebrating. This year had to be one of the best Prides of attended here in New York City. 4 Days ago the The Supreme Court declared that the States could not keep same-sex couples from getting married in all 50 states. Hearing this news made this years Pride even more amazing. It's crazy to think that now I can legally get married and it be recognized. Now my home state, Alabama is alas being a baby back bitch, and try to act as if they have so much power and they are trying to do some type of 25 day holding period. That's total bs, but this too shall pass.

I didn't get to "turnt up" this weekend though. I limited myself and I really payed attention to what I was drinking when and if I had a drink, and I also took a little time off from my diet to have some fun. It really was a nice weekend. I didn't go into it expecting to wild out, and be a train wreck, but I enjoyed myself. I think what really made me happy was the ruling and all the good news. Although I'm still very much single I am happy to know that I'm getting the same rights as everyone else.

My fitness journey is still on lock! Starting this week and from here on out I'm really focusing on fine tuning my body. I want my abs and lower body to "pop" more so I'm pushing and changing up some things in the gym and really going hardcore on my diet. Cutting out Dairy (Damn, I love cheese), Sugar (Bread Pudding), My sodium intake, and alcohol which is not such a huge problem for me. I don't know what it is but I'm not finding too much pleasure from it these days. I attended Broadway Bares last weekend and I know I had about four drinks, and I left with no type of buzz or anything. I must be building up some type of tolerance. I only drink one day out of the week anyway, but I'm going to keep it simple this coming month and sticking to a glass of red wine.

Lifestyle changes are something else! In October it will be "officially" one year, since I sought out help, started getting lean and really in shape. A friend of mine from college posted a picture of my from 7 years ago when I was in college and I saw how much of difference working out has really done for me. Even moving across the U.S. has done wonders for me. Just taking everything day by day and celebrating my small victories.

It's funny how when you start to mature as a person, and get yourself together, who all sticks around and who all of sudden vanishes out of your life. I guess that's how life works huh? The same goes for guys that try and get my attention too. Although I am very much a single guy, I've become really selective about what I want in another guy. I learned that that is indeed a good thing. I do want to date again and soon I'll jump back into the dating world, but slowly. I've had guys that want to speed rush things, and that's not what I need right now. I just want to go out and see what's out there and so who I click with. Like I said in my last post I'm looking for something that could last awhile...or...even a lifetime. I want to make sure that I'm also taking care of ME, and achieving the goals that I've set before myself. I'm beginning my Journey to 30 in a little over a month, and I'm on a mission to be in the best shape I've ever been in by then and I KNOW I can do this.

That's all I've got for now!

MUCH PEACE, AND LOVE! **DEUCES** STAY UP!
